I recently went on a trip to Seattle for business meetings and we also took our interns there for job shadows at Amazon and Microsoft. To start off the trip, we immediately went to the Space Needle. The problem with that is I’m deathly afraid of heights, so when I found out where we were going, I was a little bit nervous. Once we got to the top though it was cool and you’ll be able to see some of that footage.
Another thing I didn’t know about Seattle was their love of dogs. A lot of people bring their dogs to work and local businesses will put out water dishes out in front of their store. We went on a really long walk to get to a Starbucks Reserve, which we probably should have just ended up taking an Uber. One of my favorite stops was visiting the Amazon Go store. You basically just scan your app on the way in, take what you’d like and leave. Somehow they just know everything you took and charge you accordingly. Amazon said it took 300 people to develop that technology. Check it out if you ever get the chance. It’s like the most convenient store int he world!
